🌟 Did you know?

Fun Fact! When you ask an AI a question, it doesn't "know" the answer like a person does — it's really good at guessing the next word based on everything it read before!
Try This! 🎯 Ask a grown-up to help you ask an AI assistant to write a silly poem about your favorite animal. Read it out loud together!

For grown-ups learning alongside a child

This section works best as a shared activity, not as a child being left alone with a chatbot. Read one lesson together, try one small example, and then talk about what the computer did well and what it got wrong. That conversation is more useful than trying to make AI sound magical.

A good first session

  1. Start with What is AI? and ask the child to name things they think use AI.
  2. Try a harmless creative prompt together, such as a funny story about an imaginary animal.
  3. Change one detail in the prompt and compare the two answers.
  4. Finish with the safety lesson: don't share private information, and ask a trusted grown-up when something online feels confusing.

The goal: curiosity with healthy scepticism. Children do not need to understand model architecture; they do need to understand that a confident computer answer is not automatically a true answer.
